Combining journalism with photography has been one of the highlights of my everyday job. Having worked as a newspaper and magazine reporter, I find getting out into the community and meeting a variety of interesting characters exciting as no two days are the same. Telling the stories of the people I encounter in an article is rewarding, but capturing a powerful picture to enhance the text really brings the piece to life.
